Collision Tips

My game is just about finished. :) I am happy with things but I can't help but want to improve the collision detection. My platforms are irregularly shaped so a perfect rectangle just doesn't work as well as I would like (items technically begin bouncing before they reach the platform..on the thinner end). I have placed an invisible actor over the platform instead, so that it works a little better, but short of adding multiple invisible layers onto the platforms, I'm not really sure what to do. Are there any tricks out there to improve this, or just place the invisible actors where I want them and hope for the best?

invisible actors are really the only way you are going to be able to make custom shapes. They have more collision shapes planned in the future though.
