so i have some really awesome pictures but whenever i put them in gamesalad they are blurry. Do i need to save the pictures to a different extension or change something in gamesalad? please help
You should try to make it work with the right sizing.. If you add a column of transparency one of two things will happen.
1.- If you select stretch wrapping your picture will distort 2.- If you choose fixed wrapping your picture will look fine but this will be problematic if you use a collide rule because GS will consider the alpha column as part of the image and the object colliding with your picture will actually hit in the transparent area creating an unrealistic collision effect.

ej: 120 x 80 good, 121 X 83 no good.

You could resize your image to make it even, or crop 1px from a side, that should not effect quality
