Finding Pictures

this question might sound very amatuer but i have to ask, what is the best ways to get pictures for your game, Are we allowed to use pictures that are online and change its color or some features of it, or do we have to draw all the pictures that we want to use for the game, i c some pictures on some games that looks like pictures taken from online, can somebody please clarify me on this topic, i just dont want to do something that i am not supposed to be doing, thanks a lot

    in order to sell your game, you must have the rights to distribute any graphic you're using. You can either buy artwork through stock photography or artwork websites (there are free ones as well), or create your own.

    1. Google Public Domain images (ad specifics if needed)
    There are official sites so you know they are not copywrited still.

    2. Make your own and scan them.
    Why do you think there are so many "doodle" games?

    Just be aware that some "public domain" images, soundfiles, etc. on those "free"/"public domain" websites can end up on those sites despite not actually being "public domain" so just have a backup plan in case you need to swap some things out and others in.

    Unlikely but I've heard of such things happening.
