what do y'all think would be another way to get feedback/reviews on your games other than the usual (people buying and actually leaving reviews)?

No you can't. You cannot post a review for a gifted app as well. I get the same error as the Promo Code. However it does seem that for gifted apps it works from iTunes (but not from the device).

The new limitation is for app promo codes, not just the free ones.

I'm not sure how accurate this is because I download Spazcon HD yesterday with a promo code and then left a review for it last night. So idk I know several sites are reporting it to be blocked but idk. I bet they have singled out certain users that download lots of promo apps or something. Who knows with apple.

Yeah I noticed this when giving out promos today, it really sucks! Some reviewers said it worked, but eventually, it won't for all people.

It's the whole point of giving a promo so you can get an honest review, but it's people that abuse the system that ruin it for the rest of us

The most disappointing thing was when promos didn't count as downloads, which always gave you a nice boost, but people scamming the system ruined that too !

Then someone PLEASE explain why the hell we are given promo codes in the first place. Ya, you could give them to your friends, but the main reason is to give them to people to play for free, THEN WRITE A REVIEW OF IT!!!! Damn this sucks!
