Promo codes don't allow Reviews

Just in case you didn't know.
If you hand out promo codes and ask if the user
could leave a review after downloading your App/Game
you might be wondering why nobody leaves a review.
Apple changed the rules and no longer allows users who
purchased a Game/App via promo code to leave reviews.

    No it doesn't!
If you ever tried to promote your game you might have seen
the box for promo codes every larger magazine has now when
you send them the info. No promo code-no review.

Thats probably true but it was still nice when we released some promo codes in the
Announce your Game section here and some people left a nice review.

Maybe people (including me) are tired of seeing obviously bad games with several 5 stars reviews? This way the reviews will be a bit more trustworthy.

Hmmm. Does this apply to gifted apps too?

Probably a good thing, but I'm pretty sure larger gaming companies have every employee rate new games right off the bat, and they probably don't even fool with promo codes.

This might make the "free for a day" technique more important.
