Mac Air or GS pro?

I'm faced with tough question. I almost have enough money to buy GS pro membership. And I'm about half way towards getting enough money for a Mac Air. Which one should I get first?

I've been making money on my desktop computer selling templates and such, and thought that a laptop would make my life easier. (due to the fact that I hate being constrained to my desk!)

But I'm in the midst of making my next game. Also, whats the best way to go, sell an app for a dollar and not get as much downloads. Or put it on appstore for free with iAds, with lots of downloads. Which way makes more money?

This question is going to help me make my decision.

Tricky. I would say that if you get out a lot, and can benefit from portability of your development, go with the Air... otherwise, GS Pro might be better, depends on what your ideas for monetizing pro are.

I think selling an app is better. You'll likely get less negative reviews, and have to deal with less. Or... you could have a free one with ads and a paid with no ads. That's probably the route I'll go when the time comes. Free-loaders can deal with the ads, and people like me, who'll gladly spend a buck for some quick entertainment and have an aversion to adverts will pony up the dough.

I think I will probably get the laptop first since I'm making more money with a computer its the more practical way.

I have an iMac, MacBook Pro and a MacBook Air; I use my Air ALWAYS for game development as well as everyday use.

It's such a beautiful device and feels really nice to work with.

I'm using my MacBook Pro which works great with GS, but would also the small size of the MacBook Air. Maybe next year.....

Haha, yeah the limited screen space sucks a lil' when you're used to a 27" but has a huge pixel count so feels bigger. I've not ran in to any problems yet with it :)

I was surprised how quick the Air is, it's start-up time and app load times are lightning fast. Only thing it takes a while with it rendering videos/3D graphics, etc.

Depends on what you mean by faster, and whether you get a Macbook Pro with an SSD in it.

Well, it comes stock in an Air. In fact, you can't get one without.

I love the big screens for making games and doing graphics, if you have a working mac I would keep that and upgrade GS and work on getting some return. Then go upgrade crazy later )

What about the macbook pro 13" they just updated those and they are almost the same price but the pro has more, core i5, thunderbolt, high graphics chip and more for only 1200 rather than 1300

I would say that you should get pro but the only reason that I would buy pro is because it comes with game center and it is not even out yet. So right now I would got with what Tshirtbooth said go with the 27" iMac it is such a big screen and the new one is really fast and would run gamesalad great. But if yu are going to buy an computer I would wait till loin comes out because its awesome!!!!!!!

Start with the new computer, but then get Pro!

Dont exist. You can get monitor that big, but not an iMac. Maybe it was a Mac Pro with a Giant ACD.
