I have a pinball game I am creating and while the camera follows the pinball as it moves I would like my score to stay stationary. i am very new to this Gamesalad thing so sorry if such a newbie question. Figure it must be fairly simple.

Also WOW! i have been in interactive design for over 15 years and haven't had such an empowering feeling from an application since flash 2 came out in the late 90s. This is an incredible application and I look forward to it's evolution and being part of this great community. Thanks Gamesalad! - Jg

make a second layer and call it HUD or something. make that unchecked so it will be non scrollable, making it stay when the camera move. hope that helped.

    also, welcome!

    Hey,

Above your actors over on the left, there are two tabs: Game/Scene
Switch to the Scene tab and create a new layer.
Make this new layer NOT scrollable by unchecking the checkbox.
Make sure this layer is above the playfield.

Make sure everything you place in this layer is between 0 and 480 on the X axis, and between 0 and 320 on the Y-axis. That way it will always be visible - regardless of how big your playfield is. It will always stay in the iPhone's viewing rectangle.

    Hope this helps!

Can't believe I missed that "scrollable' check mark in the layers :-) Worked like a charm.

    Thanks - JG
