Loading previous high score & display on menu

I have already got the save for the high score... but I think I'm being very dim as I can't work out the steps to get the overall high score to load on the front menu. I have made a load attribute off scene... but then I am getting stuck in how to create something to then show it. Sorry if this is a bit basic, I have looked around on forums etc but they just confused me. I kind of need this explained in steps I think. Thank you for any help!
