Wide backgrounds question

Hi again,

I currently have a platform game with 10 levels each 6000px wide (all my backgrounds are tiled) and it running perfectly but the levels seem a bit short. I just wanted to find out if I had to increase the screen width to say 10000 or so would it drastically affect my performance? My goal is to have 20 - 30 levels.

    As long as your images are segmented, it should be okay. You'll really get a better idea when you test it on the device, but it should be just fine.

    If you are tiling the images you will be fine, there won't be any real performance issues with 10,000px scenes.
