Hi, not sure if this is the right section so please don't hurt me ;)

I'd like to point out a great cheap $ 39,95 application for graphics.
You can try it for free (has a delay on start up but works).

http://www.lemkesoft.com/

While the interface is something to get used to it is a great application for creating, adjusting graphics and batching/automating procedures.

I just tried to make transparency in a Graphic and found that it has an 'trancparency' tool for that. Problem is you have to pic a color which could also be on a place in a graphic you don't want to have transparent.
I found a solution though which works nice.

First use the normal magic pen on the background of the picture (for example the white around it).
Invert the selection with command i.
Go to menu pictures curves.
In the curve you get make two points somewhere close to the top right corner of the curve. then pick the top of the curv and drag it down a few pixels.
This way the white in the picture gets a very light tint (not visible with the eye).
Click ok (or save this curve for later use).
Now deselect the previous made selection.
Use the transparency tool wand on the white outside the graphic.
Eh Voila!

Hope this little tutorial makes sense.
If you try it and it doesn't work because my explanation is to Denglish (Dutch-English) let me know. I'll try to explain better.

Cheerios,
Ludwig
