You're already off to a great start. You got the tools for the job and there are lots of helpful people around here - as you might have noticed already.
I had lots of frustrating movements with GameSalad, but they were also learning opportunities.
Yes, the community is great and very helpfull indeed
And so are the tools ^^

I'm sure you've already noticed that this is really a helpful community, or "cuddly" as I like to call it.
Don't hesitate to post a question about anything you are having an issue with, there are so many good and helpful members here, there's just about nothing that can't be solved if it's possible to do in GameSalad. tshirtbooth has a great video on the GameSalad youtube Cookbook page on how to get the viewer installed on your iPhone, once you get to that point.
Don't know if you have been directed to that youtube page or not yet, but it's also an excellent resource along with the forums to bookmark and refer to when you come across an issue.
Iwatched some of the teachers videos, but not all yet (2x24 hours has its limits lol). But it is great with tutorials, and i have also used the "how to" pages with succes. Not to forget to mention a very friendly soul who came to my rescue on my first day and helped me out through skype - thanks Ace ^^
I applied (signed up) as an Apple iPhone Dev yesterday - and I followed the steps in the 'Getting started' untill step 4 "Download the WWDR certificate".
I can't find it and am thinking, that it's because I didnt yet get the final approval mail from Apple?
I did pay the money to them, and I do have access to the dev center.
A slightly different approach is to have a standard size scene and just pan the background graphics while holding the player still. The rules for the replacement of all the elements as they flow past and new things coming in are a bit of a pain to set up, but it opens you 'endless' scenes.

I believe you should get an email from Apple within 24hrs and if you don't give them a call. Mine came quicker than 24hrs but I guess they ask for that amount of time just in case they're busy.
