I don't have an iPhone I have an iPad though. I feel like I need to actually test my game on an iPod touch. Is there a good way I can do it with my iPad or should I use the iPod touch.

Where would be a good place to get an iPod touch...

I have an older Itouch 2g, and I just bought the Itouch 4, on sale at bestbuy for 204.

You could look for a used one, also a new Itouch 2g was 179.

If you're on a budget, try finding an "as is" broken one on eBay. You might find one where the sound jack doesn't work, or where the screen is slightly cracked but working, or the screen is dim (backlight doesn't work). Any of those you could use to test games very cheaply.

Just be sure everything you need to work is specifically mentioned in the listing as being operational.
EDIT: You might actually try buying a broken ipod (cracked screen, for instance) and fixing it. I've had a lot of fun fixing ipods and selling them on eBay. Learned a lot to, about the hardware (quite a piece of magic). Now I'm learning about the software!
