This may be my best game yet (and all in under 72 hrs!)

My plan is to take the three levels and basically make more valley scenes, mountain scenes, and geyser scenes so that there is a valley world, mountain world, and geyser world with 10 levels or so in each world. I may have an avalanche world as well.

Feedback would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

nice start - but I think you need to control the physics a bit more of the bus.

    What do mean exactly?

It is really bumpy on purpose to simulate what it would be like to drive a bus with hydraulics and no brakes through a boulder field.

Are you thinking I have the restitution too high?

    Thanks for the feedback.

What do you guys think about the controls in this game. It is meant to be "bumpy". Personally I like it, but a few people have commented that it was too difficult. On my ipod my wife completed level 1 (after a few tries) and she is usually HORRIBLE at games so it makes me think that there could just be learning curve, but I would love to know what others think.

I'm hoping to expand this into a full game, so feedback would be very helpful. Thanks!

I liked it and realized the bumpiness was a driving force in the game. My only complaint was the front bumper seems to catch on items and make the bus endo quite often but I guess if you are more diligent with the hydraulics, you will be okay.

Yeah, I agree. you really need to keep the nose of the bus up. I thought about having two separate wheel actors and a bus actor. The wheels would be set as circles and the bus as rectangular, but I realized I'm not smart enough to make that work!

    Thanks!

@QS - any suggestions for when I make the iPhone version with more levels?

Cool game! I like the graphics too, where did you get them? :)

I got the bus from the 72 hr competition and I made the rest in photoshop. I really like using free patterns to give things interesting textures.
