Game Creation Log - Project Free Roam

Hey Gamesalad! Theres a few people making game creation logs so I thought I would too ;D.

I started working on an "Free Roam" type game a few days a go. My hopes are to have a game where you can walk around and do lots of stuff. (Mainly killing monsters). You will also be able to go to different towns and get different weapons. I would want there to be tons of scenes in which the Hero can explore.

I made a thread here- http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=23036. To see if there is any one willing to trade their art for some coding help. I would really need some good art to make this project great!

I have a health bar set up and grass tiles, currently I am working on the controls.

    Dude nice idea. I was thinking of doing the same thing. I was going to do it all pixel art and I wanted the main character to go around building a tank to fend off the pirates that were invading his town. I wish I could help with the art but as I have said in many other forum post I stink at art. Lol hope you find a great artist to help with your game.

    haha me too! I was going to use pixel art too but I dont know how to make anything look good lol.

    I think I can do pixel art but it takes me a while to shade everything to make it look nice. If you have a iPad or iPhone (which you probally do) you can get a app that is called c64 paint it is a great tool and that how I do all my pixel art. What kind of stuff do you think you want. I could try to try it. I don't want to promise anything but it would be fun to try. I will you send you a message on you account so my email doesnt get out. Again I DO NOT PROMISE ANYTHING!

    There's a program somewhere, I saw it the other day-it turns images into pixel art.
