Issues With 3G when publishing

Hi All,

I have been creating ad hoc builds of my game/app, and they have been working ok on an iPod, 3GS and iPad all with the latest firmwares.

However, when trying on the 3G, I get problems. These are:

* Gamesalad splash/logo takes longer than usual to bypass (about 30 seconds)
* When bypassed the Gamesalad splah/logo, all we get is a white screen and the menu music (nothing else loads).

I was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems, or knows if I could be doing something wrong when publishing?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Splash screen is due to the hardware, it's a significantly slower phone

2nd problem is usually bad logic, but if it works on other devices maybe stuff is running too slow to execute. Try loading one of the gs templates and see if the problem is duplicated

    Have not tried a 2G yet...just iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPod 2nd Gen.

Is there anyone to help check on the other phones for me, especially the 3G, to see if this is handset specific or not.

@jonmulcahy - would it be possible for logic to work on some devices and not on others?

    Cheers,

This can happen but you never know why it happens.maybe something fails to execute.

For some reason, it has decided to fix itself.

All I did was install an older version of my game, then removed and installed the current version, and it fixed it.

Very strange indeed, but I hope this can help anyone else.

Then its confirmed that theres a bad logic on the new version of your game the fact that the old one loads properly. Try to debug it using display text method maybe you could find it.

    I think you mis-read.

Basically I performed a new install and it all worked ok. Seems to be an issue with GS.
