General Optimization

I was wondering if anyone has any general optimization tips for GS.

Im creating an iPhone game, and have a scene which loads LOTS of actors (about 200 instances). When the scene has loaded and launched with all the actors, it runs fine.

However, the performance issues come when loading all the actors. I have an animation playing when they all load, and the animation really slows down.

So any optimization tip, other than do not load 200 actors ;) , would be appreciated.
