Alrighty guys, ive been posting allot of topics on this and im sorry for that but ive really made some progress and think im getting very close to getting this issue fixed

I am trying to do what apps like garageband do to get that velocity sensitive key affect, and ive tried to do this by setting up an actor that sits in the screen and acts as a moderator by monitoring the zaxis, and based on its position, changes tha volume, so say that the zaxis is between -1 and -.9, then the rule changes the game.audio, sound volume, to .1 and so on and so fourth, but this does NOTHING to affect the volume of the sounds i am trying to play on my app, anyone got an idea as to how to fix this? ill say i also tried putting this into the actual pads you tap to play the sound but that doesnt make a diference

While I don't have an answer for you, pleSe don't bump your own thread so often. Your better off waiting until it fAlls off the main page before you bump it to the top.

Have you tried any of my suggestions from the countless other threads you have started? Have you downloaded the iDevices free app so you can look at the accelerometer data in action? It will help other people help you if you keep all of this in one thread. Then others can see what you have tried.

yea im sorry, ive been on the road and havent had access to these things, yes i downloaded idivices and used it to test the zaxis and that was my best bet to to work with, like i said

Z is unlikely to be the best choice try (abs(x+y))*1.2 to get a value for volume

just play around...its easy to play now GSC actually works:)

Even on an iPad with GB I only get about five different levels

Im sorry for sounding so misinformed, but im also still learning some of these equations, what exactly does (abs(x+y))*1.2 do?

sorry x and y are the accelerometer so would normally look like game.Accelerometer.Y and game.Accelerometer.X and abs returns the absolute value of a number and turns negative numbers positive.

    *1.2 makes it a bit bigger :)

so this was just a basic starter idea

AH ok, that sounds good, so with this i could literally plug it into the values for the volume? And thanks som uch in advance for the help:)
