Hi.

Im extremely new to the part of now trying to adhoc test my app etc and in so doing i've prematurely gone to publish in GS and i've hit the publish before finally working out the proper steps in adhoc testing via apple site. i guess what i want to know is , is publishing to gamesalad really mean i've published the app on their site????? even though its not ready or still incomplete. perhaps someone could help out a novice understand what (myself) he has done.

So once again , i only wanted to do adhoc but i've done the former instead. can i remove what i've done and what impact is this on me if at all.

Many Thanks

    Just open one of the templates and publish to GS as an update. It should overwrite the game

    You have to get your app signed by game salad before you can submit it to apple. What platform did you click when you published it?

    No, when you publish you app it gets signed by game salad. It doesnt get published anywhere.

    you should have received a file back?

    with that file you can publish to app store or test. although if your provisioning profile is set up with ad hoc you cant upload it.

    Thankyou for replying my friend.Yes I did receive a file. And this is the part I need to work out what to do with it and get it installed on my device on my iPhone. Any quick advise on what's next fir me to do with that file in terms if installing it on my device. I'm told I still need to provision on apple site in order to install it. Is that true. And is it via Xcode ?

    To do an ad-hoc build you need to go to itunes connect;

    Create new app id - call something like gamenametester

    Then setup the distribution and here you say whether its for devlopment (ad-hoc) or the app store.

    Download the profile.

    Double click to open in Xcode and install .... or drag onto your itunes icon.

    Then in GameSalad publish as you did the 1st time selecting the gamenametester profile you've just installed.

    With the file GameSalad returns to you, drag that into iTunes and sync your phone.

    Cheers
