Hi,

I am in the midst of coding and i want to include images in my game, can i just add draft images lets call them Image1, Image2, Image3
And use some code to use them ie set image to some actors

And finally when i get the real images
rename the old images to Image1old, Image2old, Image3old
add the new ones and simply name them Image1, Image2, Image3
then delete the old images.

Will GameSalad pick up and go without having to go through each actor to reassign the image ?
If not any ideas on how to do this ?

GS makes it really easy. Just use actors with no images. Give them colors if you want or use display text behaviors to label them. then when you have your images ready you basically just drag them in. It's pretty quick.

    What I've found is this:

Say you have an image called 'image1' and its size is 128x128

If, at a later date, you want to change this image, then call your NEW image 'image1' and have it be the same size.

Then delete the original pic from GS in the images tab and replace it with your identically named new image.

GS picks it up no problem. I always feel like I'm fooling it, as it doesn't even have a chance to say 'image missing' :)

Try it with a new project, just for your own piece of mind!

    Hope that helps!
