Depends on the advantage you want. the iMac has a bigger screen which means easier to work on apps. especially iPad apps. But its not portable

The Macbook pro is portable but you cannot even get the full scene size of an iPad on the screen which means you will still need to get an external monitor to really be able to see it all.

Really if cash is a concern you should prob get a mac mini. and a monitor and you will still have cash left over. to buy tools and templates.

Get the imac. It has more power for the price. I love mine:)

I have both an iMac & the MacBookPro, the pro I use everyday, the iMac I use as a backup. But really, whatever feels more comfortable for you I would get.

thanks for replying, I forgot to say I have a 27-inch monitor and a 2-terabyte hard drive, my question is for the processor and Video Card.

I work on GS on a 13 inch macbookpro, and it is really hard because the screen is soooo tiny that you have to waste a lot of time dragging the screen

If you already have the monitor and that hard drive get a mac mini. They have plenty of power and are way cheaper.
