Is the splash screen only supposed to have the company logo? or is it better to have the game logo? or both?

What do you guys think?

It depends upon your "branding" in my opinion. If you want to brand your company, then by all means use your company logo. If you really want people to see you game name and have it etched into their brain, use your game logo.
Either way, just try to make sure it looks cool and professional.
The other thing to remember is if they quit out of the game and come back to it without actually restarting the device or fully quitting the App, they won't see the splash next time they open the App. It will go straight to the first (or current) scene.

Thanks for the reply, Mike. Do you think it's acceptable to put both logos on there? or should it really be only one or the other?

I even made a poll for it some times ago: http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=19665

You should test every option and let friends and relatives have an opinion on them. But in the end it is really up to personal taste.
