Are my problems related to the current bugs?

Hi,
Reading through the posts here I realise there's an issue with the latest version of GS and that a fix is imminent. But I can't work out what the problem people are having is.
The reason I ask is I've got problems with images disappearing - is that the problem at the moment, or is something else wrong with my GS?
