Dear All,

I just noticed that there is no in app purchase in the roadmap. Is that so? No prediction to have that feature on GS?

I am sure that would be great since we could directly sell add-ons, upgrades and even other apps.

That would solve the common problem of a buried app, since you could sell them via the first one you sold. You see, you would be able to make a network of clients.

Well, if it counts for anything, that and publishing in android would be my first two priorities.

My guess - and it really is just that - is that when we have In-App purchases it'll be for pro only, and rightly so in my opinion. Just a thought!

Ya, I'm 99% sure it will be a pro only feature. Which will give everyone who hasn't boughten pro yet another good reason to do so.

Yep cause IAP is better than enhancing your customers experience with the game via game center, right? Lol

In my opinion Game Center and IAP are essentially equal in usefulness for game development. IAP increases revenue, which is necessary to provide both the motivation and ability to create and improve our games. Game Center provides an improved experience for users that will help attract more users and keep more users playing a particular game (decreasing the boredom threshold by creating a sense of competition).

Neither are 100% necessary to create a good game, but both are helpful. I look forward to IAP because I believe (personal theory) that it significantly increases the conversion rate for users from free to paid. Currently I see about a 1-2% conversion rate, and my hope is that with IAP I might see 3-4%. Increased revenue = more time to spend on development = better games.

Just a quick question here, Apple doesn't get 30% of IAP right? We get all of it?
