if you have any sort of scoring in the game, sure.

and when achievements are added, you really should

I don't thinks so. With a very mixed range of abilities in children over your audience age range I think that even if they use it, for some it might be discouraging, and it also add complication to their experience.

One view: Look at the top kids games. What do they do?

Another view: If you already have pro then it's not a question, just add it. If you haven't... then you need to figure out if its worth the $500

Is this game for everyone or especially young kids?

I think it's not really appropriated/necessary for young kids. They are not yet that competitive, just give them rewards no matter how good they are lol.

If we look at nintendo, they make games for older people too, but they are not really into online highscores because it's just not suited for that kind of friendly games.

I say you have nothing to lose if you already a pro member, but it's probably not necessary. Kids should learn to beat their own limits, not everyone's :)

I thought Game Center was only permitted for players over the age of 13...

    http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/gamecenter/us/terms.html

    ...but not exactly...
Some aspects of the Service are not available to children under 13, such as features that allow users to disclose personally identifiable information. Please enable parental controls to restrict access to content as appropriate.

Leaderboards don't seem to be personally identifiable... not if it's associating the score with an online alias.

I'm not sure if it's appropriate, but I don't think it's inappropriate either. I look at it this way... there are kids under the age of 13 that are playing Angry Birds. Do their their scores go online? If so, why not yours?

Adding Game Center support is surprisingly tedious though. It is certainly easier to leave that feature out... but doing so might hurt sales.

It really depends on the age of the kids and the importance of the score. My 5 years old does not care about scores only about what he gets in the game (achievements, stickers, unlock-able content, etc.), gamecenter is the last thing on his mind.

Even older kids don't seem to care much about gamecenter because the iPad account is mine and not theirs... as it would be with most kids/parents.

In short, don't expect gamecenter in ABC Blast anytime soon ;) unless gamecenter can drive sales, which I'm not sure it will in a young kids game (might even send the wrong message to the parents as to the target age).

    Just my 2 cents.

Wah i don't know.. i think ill let go of gamecenter for this update now , (an update with 2 more games is coming) , i might deiced to implant gamecenter in letter updates , when i add more games to the box and my game will be for a bigger range of ages .

Thank you all for your help!
