Collision Detection, Any plans to improve?

Hi,
So far we can only use square or circle for collision detection. This limits game design quite a lot.
Is there any plans to add new collision as below?

Pixel collision, where a PNG actor will only collide with another PNGs pixels which are not set to transparent. Therefore allowing any collision shape.

Thanks

Would definitely make walls easier for certain games (i.e. Pac-Man, etc.) as your artist would be handling some of it for you with just what they drew as opposed to you having to place walls all over.

sorry for digging up this old thread, but this sure is a needed feature!

Yup... I have to agree. The collision system is very limited at the moment, and pixel collision would definately be a massive improvement.

It does seem to get brought up every now and then as a wishlist item, but so far I dont think Ive seen any official response regarding it.

Don't get your hopes up, i believe pixel collision is not supported under the physics engine gamesalad uses

Well then it should be feasible to draw our own collision box within GS, with arches and stuff, like vector drawing. Circle and square is pretty basic and limited imho.

this should be #1 on everyone's whishlist!

General loading/speed improvements first, then maybe this :)
