Error logging into Game Center

Been like this for a few days now 
I have tried and tried but with no joy.
I cant even sign in now (it was fine a few days ago because i was posting scores with Air supply).
Internet is fine but i just get the spinning wheel next to ipod and signal strength in top left of device.
If i try via Air supply i get "There was an error logging into Game Center...the requested operation has been cancelled"
I also managed to make an adhoc build of a new game to test GC and although i got sandbox it wouldnt let me create a new account...the wheel kept spinning"
Any one else?

just logged into the app itself fine in sandbox mode
