Is it possible to bring an actor forward or alter it's layer so that it's in front of another layer - in the game I mean, not just using the GS editor?
I should also provide more info. I've got a character moving down the screen and when he passes another character, it looks wrong has he needs to move in front.
As always thanks for the help

Hi, you can't change layers of actors while in play, unfortunately. This might be another feature at a later date, I don't know. (Can't remember if it's on the Roadmap or not).
2 workarounds to take your pick from: the first is to destroy the actor on collision with the front actor, then immediately have the actor spawned (Spawned actors are in the top layer. the second choice is to have a duplicate, a "twin" if you like but in a front layer, placed outside of the screen area and again on collision, this time swap them.
Not understanding completely, if you wanted this actor when passing all other actors to always be in front, then follow DrGlickert's advice. In the Scenes Editor, click on the button marked Scenes if it's not already highlighted; then click on Layers. Find your actor you want to be in the front in the folder/folders then drag its name to the top of the folder. All done!

You can move in front of or behind actors with this template.
