Better on processor; Gravity or Individual Accelerations?

Is it best to have a scene where gravity is on (say Y @ -100) or have each actor that has an accelerate 270 degrees at 100?

I have some scenes that have 10 actors (affected by gravity/acceleration behaviors), some that have 60+ actors (affected by gravity/acceleration behaviors).

So I need to know what's better for the processor and game speed...
Gravity?
or
Individual acceleration behaviors?
