Im Stuck at the begining someone help

so i watched the make a game from scratch on youtube and now have gs. For some reason i have made the controls for my actor "keyboard up is up and keyboard down is down" but my actor only goes up. I had to have done something wrong. any help would be great.

    no, keyboard up or down meaning whether the keys being pressed or not. You would want to use down for both of them. When up is down & when down is down. Meaning when up/down are currently being pressed :D

    You need to have two separated rules. One for up and another for down.

    - Rule -
    When key up is pressed
    Do something

    - Rule -
    When key down is pressed
    Do something
