Pause Menu Help

Hello. I am currently trying to make a game with a pause button. When the pause button is touched, I want it to bring up the pause menu on top of the current scene, rather than switching the scene entirely.

I'm sure this is has an easy fix, but I do not know it yet - I am still new to Gamesalad.

    what was your solution? u were able to pause everything in the same scene but still have the menu come up?
    i need this because i have falling objects that will kill my player, but when i un-pause the loading lags and many times the objects begin to free fall before the controls can react
    were u able to have the movement in the screen u left stop while also bringing up the new screen??

    The pause scene behaviour brings up another scene over what is the current running scene (which is frozen). It's what it does. And if you put a background actor in the paused scene you can set it's transparency to whatever you want so you can still have the 'playing' scene but 'greyed out' (in colour). if you don't put in a background the actors in the scene just appear on top of the current playing scene.
