Do I need to pay for the Apple Dev program in order to download the Gamesalad viewer for my iPhone?

...plus you have to download xcode anyway, so might as well sign up. If you want to publish or sell anything you'll need a dev account anyway.

So all I need to do is register as an Apple developer (which is free right?), buy xcode4 on the Mac AppStore and I'm good to go?

OR do I need to pay for the $99/year for the iOS devevloper program?

Well if you want to Publish then yeah the $99 a year

I know I need to pay for it at some point to publish apps.

But do I only need xcode for now to install the GS viewer on my iPhone without paying for the $99/year enrolment fee?

I dont know how much clearer or how many different ways i can say it.

you CAN NOT put the viewer, or test anything in fact on your device witht paying the 99 dollars

to install something on your device (including the viewer) you need to make a provisiong profile and sign it with your certificates so it will run on your device, and you only get access to certificants and profiles when you pay for the program

You guys are wasting your time with the simulator as well as wasting your time trying to get the viewer without a dev account.

And why on earth would you buy xcode from the mac app store if you can get it free with your dev account?
