What has been your favorite toy ever?

When I was a kid, my dad bought me a plastic Gizmo from the gremlins. Then a kid stole it and never saw it again.
I came to a store the other day and saw a plush Gizmo and regardless of how much it cost, I bought it.
You can't believe how big of a smile I have right now.

What's yours?

Cheers!

    That's awesome! :D

I think my fave toy as a child was all my Star Wars figures - had them all, and made up so many adventures.

All to the soundtrack of the Empire Strikes Back on the record player. And Abba.

    :D

    QS :D

    Currently- My guitar and amp

As a kid- I LOVED power rangers when I was about four. So that was definitely on the top list.

I realize how dumb they are now though lol

    Love that show btw lol

I'd have to say my computer, because after all of the times I punched it, yelled at it, and threw it-it was always by my side :)

    Was joking about throwing.

I used to have a faded teal blanket with a loop on it. I would always stick my finger in the loop as a baby. As I grew a bit older it would always help me relax. Now that loop is fraying away, and I'm afraid to touch it at all in case it breaks altogether.

I guess that's the thing I'm the most sentimental about, though I do have trouble throwing away anything I've had forever (I still have a picachu piñata from when I was 5).

    So that's mine.

Cool story Rdcube! Sometimes if I'm in the mood for finding those old retro toys, and games, I look on ebay for memories :)

Soundwave from the Original Transformers G1 series... the BEST toy ever!

Best game system I ever received was the Super Nintendo packed with Super Mario World for Xmas. It's still my favorite system to this day!

I always loved toy planes and car when I was young but honestly these are now my favorite toys. They help me relieve LOTS of stress. :)

I'm not sure if it was my FAVORITE toy(s) ever, but I used to play with lots of lord of the rings action figures. LOL

I LOVE the super Nintendo and Super Mario World. Did you have Pilotwings for the SNES?
  • butterbeanbutterbean Member Posts: 4,315
YES! I LOVE Pilotwings, I love all the original titles that launched when the system first came out, like Pilot Wings, Actraiser, F-Zero, Super Mario World, but really, I love them ALL! :)

I remember staring in awe at the crisp 16-bit graphics with the demos at the mall. They were unbelievable back then, and still are to this day!

Oh of course F-Zero! That game had a fantastic soundtrack.
  • butterbeanbutterbean Member Posts: 4,315
F-Zero did have a great soundtrack, even the title screen music was cool back then :)

I also liked Pilotwings, sort of loungy, snes, jazz music :)

Oh absolutely. No if only I could land that hang glider...

Toys guys. A SNES is not a toy!
    Youth these day ;) haha!
What comes in my mind is Turbo Moto.
I have tried to find this on eBay but I never found it.

It was a little stunt motor with ramps.
It had an iron wheel in it with scoops and there was a pump that would blow pressured air to spin this wheel. Then you had to press a button and the bike took off.
It was awesome because it made a great sound. (poor mom).
    It did wheelies and everything.

Loved LEGOs! Also, love GI Joes. Way ahead of their time with all those points of rotation and little guns and such. I played with them before they came with warnings; "These toys may present a chocking hazard," that was back in the day when parents were smart enough to watch their kids while they play, unlike now, where they plop them in front of the TV and go run errands...

You are completely right. In our days we put Lego blocks in our noses so we had to be hospitalized. True story!
