Rules all reset after a lockup

Hi,
Gamesalad locked up while I was working on a game. I could still save so I saved the game and restarted gamesalad. But when I loaded up my game again and tried testing it the controls did not work. I checked and all of my rules has reset to (when mouse button is down). Its not a big deal at this stage of the games development but if this happened when I was a few days into a game it would be a big issue.

Has this happened to anyone else? and how often do you all have to restart gamesalad creator ?

    I really don't know about much but, you should save very often. And save different places. Take 2 or 3 copies. I'm doing that even the simplest Word documents..

    Do you get a lot of lockups and crashes ?

    yes, as GameSalad is still in beta, it can get cranky pretty often.

    save many versions of your game, especially after you complete a tedious or complicated task.

    I have at least 20 versions of each of my games.

    I've lost a lot of data before and it's not fun.

    Yea, I have about 2 saves per day & I go back 5 days personally.

    Also I recommend uploading 'stable' versions of your game to the website. You can always re-download it yourself later. That way if you ever had a computer crash or the file you were using became corrupted you have an online backup.

    I was starting to think I needed to re-install but I guess it is beta software.
