What's wrong with this? I've totally thought about doing this SEVERAL times! :)

Edit: F.Y.I. I'm just kidding, just so nobody shows up on my doorstep with a badge.

    Can't you see?

He gave 1 kidney for an iPad 2!

In a proper world, you only should get an iPad first generation for just one kidney.

I don't even want to get into details how I got my iPhone 4 except let me say this. I used to type a lot faster .... but, i can still give two thumbs up.

How do you think Steve Jobs got his new liver?

Steve Jobs: I need a new liver.
Boy: I think I need mine.
Steve Jobs: No, you don't. You can do more with a magical, revolutionary iPad!
    Boy: Oooh shiny.

    The end. ;)

1- Why would you sell your kidney to buy a toy.
2- who the f*ck would do that? Im sure a well working kidney would be worth more than 3 grand considering the circumstances. So why couldn't he just GIVE him the money.

Some people can just be a**holes.

I used to hear my Commodore 64 scrapping with my Atari 1040ST in the cupboard. Kept me awake at night.

Actually, still got my Atari (can see it from where I'm sitting).

My first love was a woman named ATARI and yes, an external 20 MEG HD would set you back a kidney!

There was also a 40 Meg version but only if you had a heart to spate ;-)

you had an external HD? Wow, really! I thought mine was the bees knees when I upgrade my 1mb RAM to 2! (for younger people reading this - no, that's not a mistype).

Monochrome monitor for us serious users who were producing music and not like those game junkies who needed a 4 color monitor!

Back in those days, who had kidneys left!

God I miss that spiral bound manual.

Why don't computers come with one of those anymore?

High end custom stuff that could make any executive blush.

    Anyone seen Stacey lately?

Best laptop I've ever owned in the early to mid 90's lol

The never-ending march of technological progress fascinates me. Where will it end up? NONONO to brain chips though (yeah, governments have considered those, if you didn't know).

On a different tack, I've told this story before but worth repeating: I was talking to a friend's young daughter - couple of years ago now - and asked her "Do you know what an LP is?" She looked at me suspiciously and answered: "Nooo - do you?" :-)

LOL you guys have made this the old folks thread. I remember all of that stuff but I doubt i'm as old as you guys. But I grew up with them cause my dad sold amiga's when I was a wee lad and was to cheap to upgrade for a long ass time. I bet the Amiga's are still in my moms attic. LOL

lol gyro! I was very fascinated with LC covers. They had the coolest pictures and the English writing on them I wasn't able to read. But, I loved the colors :)

    tenrdrmr,
there was NO REASON to upgrade if you had an Amiga. That machine was YEARS ahead of its time ;)
