game works in viewer yesterday ... doesnt today

Today I worked on my game more. All I did was add some more "actors" and graphics to the level. I also reversed a direction on one of my actors and changed an attribute. It worked yesterday to preview the movement of that specific actor. Today after adding the others game salad gives me the spinning pin wheel, the viewer portion of game salad goes blank, and then i click the back button and I get the spinning wheel again. Then a few moments later I am back to editing the level. The graphics were made in Adobe Illustrator, moved and optimized in Adobe Fireworks. Everything is a transparent png file.

Like i mentioned it all worked yesterday.

try with a different game and see what happens.

sounds like maybe an actor or rule you created got messed up. When you changed the attribute, did you delete one and create a new one? I've seen similar problems when a rule is referencing an attribute that has been deleted.

make sure you check all your otherwise sections as well
