When to release a Lite version to improve sales?

Assuming you have a good game - Will releasing a Lite version at the same time as your paid app help improve sales or should you wait a few weeks? Waiting a week or two will put your Lite version on top of the new apps list again and may give you wider exposure? Anyone have experience they wish to share? - Thanks -

    I'm soon going to release a full app (99c), and plan on releasing a lite app with fewer levels and features a month (or more) after. I don't think it matters too much--any time will (I would hope) improve sales.

    That said, I have thought: Which should come first? The lite or full version? I think the full version, because if you release the lite version, and then people can't buy the full version for another week, they might forget. It'd be easy to forget something like that, since so many apps are released each day.

    I really have no sales experience as far as what is best--but that's my opinion, anyway, and how I plan to go.

    It seems to be a chicken and egg situation.

    People have made money with both ways so I guess the main thing is to have a good game.

    I plan to release a llite version first and then update it to point to the full version once it is available.

    Some people might buy the lite version and not like the game.
    I'm never gonna release a lite version :P
