Hey Everyone,
If you're under 18 and would like to learn advanced computer skills in anything check out internaldrive.com I personally will be taking the iPhone & iPad Development which is to learn Xcode. But, for all the GameSalad beginners, they also have a Game Design For iPhone & iPad (Using GameSalad)

Enjoy,
Matt

I went there it is pretty nice to stay on the campus of a real college (i went to Northwestern University) I took the Java course and was quite successful in learning the basics of Java and making some basic games. The next week I took a iphone class. I hated the iphone class. The way they teach is with online lessons called mini somethings. The teacher only barely helped me in my iphone class. Also you will most likely play COD or mess around more than learn. That is exactly what happened to me. i learned Java and got better at COD on PC. But I did not enjoy my iphone class. You will not have enough time in the one week course to actually learn or get anything done. I worked pretty hard and only was able to get a good graphics going but the actual coding took forever. If you really want to code for iphone apps don't use xcode. It takes forever to learn. Use corona or another option. I like gamesalad though. The worst part is that most of the teachers are more intrested in talking about video games than helping you learn. I will never go to id tech camps again.

But maybe if you take the longer version of the iphone class you may be more successful. The only problem is that it is much more expensive and is only at select colleges like MIT. I can't travel that far away. Also the prices are horrible. Just for my 2 weeks of classes i paid 2500$ I would rather have bought pro membership (this was before I started gamesalad). I say don't go to this camp maybe other location are better. But if you get a bad teacher you are screwed.

If you do go, enjoy the college food and dorms that was the best part!

Don't go though it is not worth the cash, instead go pro if you haven't already

One more note I took the same iphone class you are taking NextGenEntertainment. For your sake I hope you get a good teacher.

Wow that's quite an investment. If you can afford it I'm sure it's worth the experience. But for 2500$, you can probably learn more Xcode with online tutorials and afford GS pro.

It's an introduction to Xcode, so at the end of 2 weeks you definately cannot build a game from what you learn in 2 weeks, and have to continue on from online tutorials.

I'm not trying to discourage you though, I'm sure it will be a lot of fun :)
