Hey what's up everyone. I have recently downloaded GameSalad and I think it is great. However, I have troubles learning it , I don't think there is enough teaching resources. It would be great if there were more tutorials that teach people how to make games from scratch. How did you guys master GameSalad ?

Weeks/months of time and reading the forums, watching the videos, playing with ideas and writing stuff down. Make things however simple, and each time work on upping your game (in all senses). If you have a question ask it, but the deeper in you are the better the answers will be and the greater your understanding. Photics' unofficial manual is worth a look, but I find it better to try understand things by making things and when I get to the point where I have a real problem I search the forum and video (with google rather than the built in search). There are also so many good examples in the GS 'new' browser, that you can take apart to see how they are done. I also would recommend looking at top user's profile pages where there are links to demos. 'Firemaple' has answers to almost every problem I have every wondered about.

There is no easy fix but it is an interesting journey learning GS and there is delight in store (along with some deep frustration). A few months in I have learn't a great deal, have a stack of ideas, almost as many prototypes and a few things almost ready to go. I am not a coder, and am grateful for what GS offers. It's pretty fab. Have a great trip.

Yes, between those links posted by tshirt, the wiki, and these forums, there's pretty much nothing that can't be figured out. Lots of helpful people with lots of experience. And welcome to GameSalad.

I dig your evil owl avatar!
