search function failing me today... best dimensions for mac app and graphics?

Afternoon fellow GS'ers...

I've done the normal forum and wiki search, (plus Google search)...

Basically I just started making a mac app... Game Salad default size 1280 x 800 ...

I wanted to make a full screen graphic in photoshop for the main menu so have made one at 1280 x 800.

This is bigger than GameSalad likes and it scales it down to 1024 x 640
...

I don't want there to be any unnecessary quality loss so should I change the size of the scene in GameSalad?

Hi Jon, I read a post recently similar to this, and another member's answer was that it's OK to use the iPad's dimensions for the mac app. Don't know if that helps...

cheers guys... perhaps I'll make it ipad dimensions then if thats allowed.

That's what i did, and am doing with my new game. Design for iPad and publish as map app as well.
