beware using images from the gamecenter template

I've had 2 apps rejected for using the graphics from the GS GameCenter template. I even photoshopped out the GameCenter icon from the post scores box, and it was still rejected.

Funny thing is, I had two apps get approved with the exact same images

So just be careful.

yes, but in that thread the general consensus was that the problem was they were using the gamecenter logo as part of a slide to turn on gamecenter function, and you getting rejected for using the box (which is what I did at first).

they rejected the image for just using a box that said gamecenter, no logo at all:

Oh damn it!!! I am just about to submit my latest app with GameCenter icons. I haven't made up my mind weather to remove them yet your not Thanks for the heads up Jon.

Well i cant say 1 post at the end of that thread about slide to activate is a concensus. Regardless, It sucks they got rejected. Was the other your astronaut game?

I use the game center icon in my games on the main menu.. but just the icon, no post score or login buttons. I didn't use the icon from the templates because it's low res, I found a higher one and made it a button with and without it crossed out (for game center active vs. not active). I've had three games with this setup submitted, all accepted. Screen shot of how it's used below:

Yes.

Yes its only pro and its 1 of the 2 reason (some might add after later updates) why i'll go pro next month (tight budget). The other one is splash screen.

Yes, this is the response that I got a while back from them. You can use the icon, but not anything that resembles GameCenter (such as the wood and green felt top, or the color and font type).
