cannon type game

I am starting my second game (my first game will be out soon) and i want to make a canon type game where u drag back from the canon and the further back it goes the faster the cannon will shoot, just like in angry birds but i have no idea on how to go about doing this, i couldnt find a tutorial anywhere so if there is one tell me please, thanks in advance.

    Just constrain the power to the magnitude and then multiply by whatever number. But make sure its reasonable.

    and when you add the velocity to the ball, when tsb adds 800 I think, put the attribute for the power

    I have one other question. now that speed is set up how would i got about position, i want it to be like touching behind the player, just like in angry birds how u aim,
