A few questions regarding workflows with actors

Hi, I've got a few questions regarding actors, hopefully someone can help me?
Firstly, Is there an easy way to delete unused actors from a project? E.g. I've got a template that I'm playing around with to try and learn GS. There are a few scenes in the template that I don't need, so I've deleted them, however when I go back to the game inspector screen all the actors from the deleted scenes are still present even though they are't used in the current scene. Is there a more efficient way of deleting these rather then doing it manually?
Also, is there any way to find a selected actor on the current scene? E.g. a drop down list (something similar to the outliner in Maya) that allows you to select an asset and then highlights that asset in the scene.
Currently the only way I have found to select an actor in a scene is to randomly keep clicking all over the scene to find where actors are located. (This is a real pain with invisible actors).
Sorry for the newbie questions, I'm just trying to get some tips on helping me get around GS
Thanks
