godaddy has very complex portal and they are known for good domains only. I recommend shopaserver.com , extremely affordable host with rock solid performance.

Godaddy is where you should register your domain but definitely dont use their hosting its way expensive in my experience. And no matter what hosting you use dont register your domain through them. use godadd.com
For hosting I have used siteground.com for other sites in the past. they have always been great. They support everything you would need to do a wordpress or joomla based site. They Also can support completely custom Code if your into that.
Also if you catch them at the right time you can get a great special for their hosting service.
