Hi Guys,

Im working on my firts Gamesalad project and created all my artwork for iPhone 4 size 960 x 480 and when I started ticked the Resolution Independance and everything was going fine. Import in my graphics and place onto screen and all fitted great BUT each time I saved and then reloaded I noticed that the Resolution Independance was no longer ticked so I ticked and continued to work. I guess I most have forgot on one of my loads then saves and now when I try and read in a graphic its WAY to big ie it screen seems to have gone to 480x320 and my images are twice the size when I drag them onto the screen.

Anyway to fix this or will I have to go back to an old save and doo all the work since then again???

Anyone else notice the Resolution Independance does not stayed ticked on?

any help on this will be great appreciated...

Cheers Gang

I had this issue. It was because I decided after to change it to RI. I just remade the game with it checked from the beginning and it stopped happening. I didnt have much done so it was easy.. if you are far along I hope for you there's a fix :) good luck.

    Hi Rlehm

    Thanks for reply

I had it ticked right from the start but everytime I loaded I noticed the Resolution Independance unticks itself and I simpy reticked and carried on...guess I forgot onetime and now it seems to have switched over to lower RES screen. I am along way through my game and don't want to have to go back to old save or indeed start again.

So any GS experts out there that can save a newbie some time and frustration. Appreciate any help and looking froward to the day IO can give back to forum once I have learned some GS nuggets :-)

    Cheers

This is a known issue. It's been discussed extensively on the forums. I believe it's scheduled to be fixed with the next update (don't quote me on this though cause I don't know for sure). Just make sure that you check it before you publish your app.

so here is my question if you clicked RI at the start of the game making process and now its switched off what does that mean exactly
1.do i have to remake all my images again
2.does it only affect the images you have made without the box checked
3.do you only have to have the boxed checked when your publishing
4.how do you tell by your images

    thanks

    It means nothing.

if you created your artwork for RI then its still there and if you did not then its still low res. The only thing RI being check does in the creator is down size actors based on the image size when you create an actor using the Drag image and drop in the actor area. Otherwise RI being checked or uncheck means nothing for your project. Just make sure if you created Images for RI and loaded those images into your project then check RI before you click publish.

I've had this too, but I've just ignored it and resized actors occasionally. No need to panic!
