Using one Actor to control another

I'm working on a platform game and I need a way to push a button called "right" and it controls the main characters actor to go right. I've looked around and can't seem to find a way to do this, any advice?

    I think there are some "D Control" threads going around (or maybe "D Pad"). Try a search on those. I think I heard rumblings of a two joystick control demo/template from CodeMonkey that I am guessing are on-screen joysticks (i.e. "d pads" or directional pads like on the old NES controllers...well, the NES controller only had one "d pad" but you get the idea).
