Will a lower score overwrite a higher score in Game Center?

Hi there,
I'm doing my first tests with Game Center:

I have a leaderboard set up with the highest scores first and my profile has already scored 5000 points.

Now if my App posts to GC that I have just scored 2000 points, these 2000 points appear to overwrite the previous 5000 points!

Is that just happening in the test environment / sandbox state?

Because in Gamesalad, I can't check wether a specific score is actually my highest score. I'm playing on my iPod and on my iPhone, and they can't know what high scores I have on the other device.
And there is no way to read your actual Game Center score from within Gamesalad (so one could check if the score should get posted or not).

Does anybody have a clue?
Thomas

    Hi Thomas

In my latest game Line Ar(X) that was submitted to Apple yesterday it has a score submitting to my Game Center leaderboards. In all my sandbox testing i found once i had a highscore and then my score became lower (you can lose points in my game) it didnt overwrite the GC highscore.

I have Air Supply on my iphone and iPad.

My highest score on iPad (the condition for sending a high score to GC) does not overwrite the higher iphone score on GameCentre.

I even deleted the game from my phone to start again (!) and my lower high scores did not post.

It's like GC is smart, or alive, or something :O

    QS :D

OK, so I'll just have to trust...
Actually, the lower scores had only temporarily overwritten my higher sandbox score. After a few hours, the old higher score appeared again.

One last question: Gamesalad does not support Game Center Achievements, is that correct? It only supports leaderboards?

    Cheers,
    Thomas
