Contracted work question. How can this be done?

Question; I've been asked to do a couple projects with the GameSalad software. It's easy and well within my capabilities and can be completed fairly quickly.

My question is; what's the best way to go about working out a contract to create an app with GameSalad for someone?

Would I finish the app, publish it in GameSalad, then send them the .zip file and they go through the application loader and pay the $99.00 developers fee?

Or, do I have to go through the process of publishing it for them? Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Interesting question. Not sure I know the answer but if you publish for them make sure you charge for that option. Might also depend on the pupose of the developed item, if its to make the client mony and you publish it, your now the middle man of them getting their money.

Also be careful, I've heard some horror stories where a dev created it for the client only to have the client take it publish it and not pay them.

Personally, I would offer to help them set up a dev account and publish it for them, as part of the process.

Nice call metronome49. I might offer that to them and future contract work. Thanks!

    Any other thoughts folks?

If it is something they want to publish and keep the money from they need thier own dev account and you need to publish using thier certificates and provisioning profile. That's the best way otherwise you will be sending them payments a's long they want app published.

Also be sure to get paid upfront. There is nothing wrof with asking that and f you are getting less than full up front no project files or anything should be given to the client until you have payment in full.

    Good luck.
