High Score problem

So I am displaying a high score with a custom font but what I want to do is display the lowest score, the problem is the score starts at 0 which is the lowest number. I followed both of TSB's videos explaining the custom font and best score. Help!

    I dont get it, to make it more simple, how do I make it start at 999 which is the max number?
