Long time ago.. i am back ! With questions !!!
Hi
I have not been here for a while, i had so many things in my way other opportunities and things to do that nothing moved on the apple app side for a long time.
I had encountered problems with the following things, and i wonder what is the current status of those :
1- random... wasn't really random.. is this better
2- Actors.. not too many otherwise everything blew up !! .. How many actors can i put on a level now ? Presuming no physics.
I will try to remember the other things.... i know i will try again using the iPad

But, the performance today is dependent (as it was before) not to the actor count, but to the rules in them.
Try it, it would be enough for a lot of games.
To then restart ??
I used to actually have so much lag that i could not bare to continue developping
Think 150 actors...
Actors; this is a question that's been asked a number of times. Myself including. Depends on what your "number" is. If you have like 200 actors, all moveable, then yes, that'll have some issues. If you have 200 actors, only 5 of which are visible and active, then that should be okay.
Depends what you're attempting to accomplish, so this is kind of a difficult question to answer.
