Image sizes(best practice)

Ok in not sure what is the best way for images,I thought why not put the image into gamesalad resize to the size you want in the game then get those dimensions and resize it to those dimensions in your program (photoshop,illustrator,whatever) then import back into gamesalad and then you have your perfect size obviously taking into consideration it's divisible by 2 or is this way incorrect could someone please enlighten me on this thanks.

    If you plan on releasing it to iPad, it's always advisable to considered the dimension of the iPad so you wont have to redo/resize all the images again. Also if you use 64X64 image in GS and resize it to 128x128 while your in the scene you wont get a nice sharp & crisp image.

    That's what I'm saying, get the right size in GS then resize in your program and re import with correct dimensions ,but is the actual side on the screen of your game the actual size you should resize it to
